Responsibilities:

    Lead, supervise & guide discipline specific teams in the lead preparation & co-ordination of design and/ or detail drawings ensuring deadlines are met and that work is completed to the required quality standards
    Program, plan and co-ordinate all project activities including the provision of design & technical information, ensuring accuracy, completeness and delivery within schedule and allocated manpower budget
    Contribute to project by applying advanced knowledge & skills to develop design concept ensuring that all aspects are technically sound and compatible with brief
    May as deputy section head in charge of a part of the discipline scope
    Communicate with design coordinator/project engineer/manager and other lead design engineers to ensure: design proceeds according to plan, review & resolve interdisciplinary design and technical issues to ensure the most effective & efficient design is adopted. Provides design and technical assistance in instances where modification or variations are necessary
    Monitor progress & prepare regular reports for management, addressing any significant variances in manpower budget expenditure together with recommendations for corrective action, if necessary


Qualifications and Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 -15 years in oil & Gas detail design experience onshore/offshore in respective discipline in a similar position.
    Registered Professional Engineer Familiar with the use of SACS, STADPRO, MATHCAD, INTOOLS, ETAP etc.
    Familiar with codes, standards, regulations and practices applicable to the design and construction of onshore and offshore structures/production facilities in the United States, including electrical/instrumentation – e.g. IP, API, NEC, ISA, ANSI, AGA, NEMA, etc.
    Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills and interpersonal astuteness.
    All engineers must be registered with COREN/NSE or its international affiliate.
    Relevant industry work experience is paramount.
